-Free parking, although this shop is across from Mililani's only Jack in the Box, and in the same strip mall as a Thai restaurant, a beauty salon, and some other shops, so parking can get crowded.

I don't normally do reviews, but this place deserves one. I asked at a local business who does haircuts, someone told me to come here, and I'm glad I did. I am skeptical about hair cutting places on this island, they either want to do a military cut or make you look like a douche. not this place. I walked in, was seated immediately, said "i want my hair cut.", no more interaction, and got my hair cut. I am VERY satisfied with how well the gentleman cut my hair.

-Can be a time suck. Like other reviewers have mentioned, they DO take their time to get it exactly how you want it and so expect to spend around 20-30 minutes here (yes, really).

CONs:

-Reasonable overall. Expect to pay about $14 for the same without a military discount. Most civilian places in the area, including Supercuts, charge $16 and up.

-***CASH ONLY!*** There is a First Hawaiian Bank in this strip mall, but the ATM fees are super high.

SO-SO:

Number pull system; check the red ticket dispenser by the register if crowded. If not crowded, someone usually greets you and offers you their chair. No stress if you have a preferred Barber, though. Wilson is pretty popular.

Well kept but humble feel, small, calm and laid back.

Small, 5-chair Barber Shop.

-Mix of local and foreign-national barbers (be warned that communication may be challenging at times). There is a chart of haircuts on the wall. Point to it. It helps.

-No drama. No one yells here. Ever.

-Will do skinned sides on request (most post/base barbers in Hawai'i won't).

-Cut is pretty consistently higher quality/more precise than on post...when they understand what you want.

Being military for 9 years now, you can imagine how much time I have spent in barber shops and this one is one of those little gems that is easy to call "my place". I paid 12$ for the cuts and always tip on top of that.

No crazy "barber drama" ever goes on. The haircuts are ALWAYS exactly how I ask. They take their time and are clearly not in a rush to just "get heads done".

Very consistent, enjoy my cut every time (even the one time it was a bit shorter than intended, it looked good). Unlike a lot of the franchises in mililani, where it's a quality coin toss, I have never left frustrated with my cut. Seems every [superlative]Cuts in any part of mililani has disappointed me nearly every other visit. I like dependable.

PROs:

They messed up my husband's hair and he had to go elsewhere to get it fixed. Waste of money!

-Not entirely disability friendly. Wheelchair accessible entrance is on the Kuahelani Drive side of complex (across from the apartment complexes). While there are a few parking stalls if you entered from that side, it is usually crowded there and the shop isn't very visible. Go towards your left/head for the Rajanee Thai outdoor tables, and you'll see the shop next to it on the left. If you parked near the Jack in the Box in the main parking area, like most people, the back door has no wheelchair entrance. You'll have to go towards the First Hawaiian Bank, turn right, and turn right again, heading towards the concrete berms/risers/outdoor seating area, past Rajanee Thai, and the shop's wheelchair accessible entrance will be on your right--that's a long way for a wheelchair or walker. And trying to go around the complex by the Goodyear can be dangerous because of the driveway.

It's not as close as some of the others but I'll gladly go a bit out of my way to get a cut here every time.

Recommend, but just barely.

This is the best place I have been to on the island.

-Military discount with ID; w/discount a medium skinned fade is about $12+tax as of February 2017.

-Wish that the Barbers were a bit more personable. Quietest shop I've ever been in.
