The best fish & chips on island!! Prices were better than other places that serve this!! I’ll frequent this place again and again!!
I always go here and order 1 thing, the fried saimim, love it, 5 stars... but i only now can make it to oahu 1 time a year and i make a point to visit here always but the last time i was here the person at the counter gave me somones fried saimin order that was sitting out for 30 minutes (the customer never picked it up) ..she was like "oh take this one, he been gone 30 minutes" ...so i paid full price, opened it, and total garbage...cold, mushy from the condensation...what a let down... no aloha here
My go to for this place is always one of their mix plate with Teri sauce on rice and their home made noodles! Can't go wrong with the serving size, the service, or the cost! . Only down fall is I don't live closer!
There's a restaurant in Mililani called Mililani Restaurant. I have not dined here for 15 years. I had a bad experience and decided never to return (I won't bore all of you with the gory details). But my wife decided to try them again. On the left is the fried saimin with chkn katsu and the right is the Portuguese fried rice. This restaurant offers lots of local food at reasonable prices. I'm glad she decided to try them again as I remembered how good their food tastes and how generous their portions are. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone with a hearty appetite and 10 bucks in their pocket. You won't be disappointed. Everything is seasoned just right and nicely presented. You will even have leftovers for the next day. I may return once more and give them another chance.
Today, I ordered a plate lunch at 5:20 pm. When I arrived at 5:35, the counter people didn't even place the order to cooks in the back. A counter person called out the order while I was paying. I'm not clear about their procedures, but don't they usually take phone orders so when the customers arrive their orders are ready. Isn't that the purpose of phone orders? Anyway, because I was in a rush (that's why I placed a phone order in the first place); I asked for a refund a few minutes later. The acting manager then blamed the cooks by saying aloud, "you guys are taking too long". There was no apology. Although the food is good, this isn't the first time where I had poor service. It was very disappointing hearing the acting manager blaming the cooks. To add to the poor service, the acting manager showed little concern for me, the customer.
